WHY REGISTRATION is REQUIRED?

Many of the items available on Bharatmed are regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules, 1945. As per the statutory provisions, such regulated items may only be supplied to either of the below three types of entities:

1. Registered Medical Practitioners (ONLY for their own use on patients treated by them)

2. Hospitals, Medical, Educational or Research Institutions and other Healthcare Establishments, including Hospitals, Clinics, Nursing Homes, Maternity Homes, Diagnostic Centres, etc. (for use on patients being treated at their own facility)

3. Firms or Companies holding either Retail or Wholesale Drug License

Hence, for regulated items, we require purchasers to register with us including required information as below.

1. For Individual Doctors/Registered Medical Practitioners:
Doctor's Registration Number along with copy of the Registration Certificate

2. For Healthcare Establishments:
Hospital's Registration Number along with copy of the Registration Certificate (from the State Clinical stablishment Registration Authority)

3. For Firms or Companies holding Retail or Wholesale Drug License:
Drug License No. and copy of the applicable Drug License
