Method of action
Chlorhexidene Gluconate is the a bisbiguanide antiseptic and disinfectant which is bactericidal or bacteriostatic against gram-positive & gram-negative bacteria.
Cetrimide is a quarternary ammonium compound, an antiseptic with greater bactericidal activity against gram-positive than gram-negative bacteria.
Alcohol has been added as a precaution against bacterial contamination. It also enhances the activity against gram-negative organisms.
